Tonight, I got to hangout with two of my former BCM kids, and was reminded of how grateful I am for college ministry, both the one that ministered to me during my college years and the one that I had the privilege of working with for 3 years post graduating. During my sophomore through senior years at CNU, I was involved with the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship on campus. This ministry helped to challenge and grow me in ways that I am still discovering today. I am so incredibly grateful to the campus ministers who had an enormous impact on my my spiritual journey. I am also thankful for the friendships that were formed through this ministry as well as the community that supported me along my college years.
After graduating from CNU, I had the opportunity to work as the associate minister for Because Christ Matters campus ministry at CNU. As a part of that ministry, I worked with an incredible group of students who have a passion for Christ and a desire to strengthen their Christian walk, as well as a desire to help others. I led Bible studies, mission trips and discipleship groups, all of which were amazing experiences I won't soon forget. I am very grateful for not only for the growing experience working with this ministry gave me, but also for the incredible relationships I formed as result. When I think about the incredible impact both of these ministries have had in my life, I am reminded of Philippians 1:3, "I thank my God every time I remember you." In this passage, Paul is referring to the support the Philippians had given for me and this is the way I feel about support and love I gained by being apart of these two ministries.
