Having gone to church this morning, I am reminded how blessed I am to live a country that has religious freedom. Today, I am grateful for our religious freedom and for those who worked hard and have sacrificed to uphold that freedom. I was able to go to church this morning with many others and worship freely without the fear of being arrested. tortured, or killed for doing so. Unfortunately, many countries do not have such freedoms. Many Christians in other countries are forced to meet in "underground churches" or some other fashion. Furthermore, we are free to discuss are religion in public. Now, some may be made fun of or ostracized for doing so, but this does not count as persecution as some would dub it. Especially in light of the real persecution that Christians face in other countries: arrest, torture and even death. Thankfully hear, we do not face such dangers. Sure, laws have been passed making it harder for us to be as open about our faith, but overall religious freedom still exists in our nation, a blessing for which I am truly grateful.
